For your parishioners: They taught you in seminary not to do more than emergency counseling and brief problem solving. What next? REFER. Check the lists above for your parishioners' issues. If not there, call us. We have friends all over the community. We'll find someone to help you.
For your family: Clergy families live in a fishbowl. Call us. We are clergy with family. We can sit in the middle of yours and help you sort it out. And we know the professionals in the community who can work with you beyond our expertise.
For your friends: We all "know someone" who's having trouble. All around us clergy, yes, clergy, are hurting. You know who they are and what they look like. How can you help a friend in trouble? Tell them you know someone who will listen, someone who can help. Give them our number; offer to come with them.
For yourself: Did you come to this site knowing you need help yourself? Are you worried about knowing us already? Are you worried about any confidentiality issues? Been there;done that. You don't have to tell us who you are. We can refer you to counselors we trust who will be outside your adjudicatory. Or, you can take a chance that we know what we're doing and that we can accept you right where you are. Up to you. Call for help. Please. That's why we're here.
If we don't have the answer, we'll help you find one!
